Privacy policy
Your privacy.
Last updated June 24, 2026
attentivebrain is built to respect your attention and your privacy. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect, why, and what control you have over it. We collect as little as possible.
Playing without an account
You can play attentivebrain without signing in or giving us any personal information. When you play anonymously, your scores stay on your device and are not sent to us. Your theme preference (light or dark) is stored in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it between visits — this never leaves your device.
When you sign in
Signing in is optional and uses Google. If you choose to sign in, we receive basic profile information from Google — your name, email address, and profile photo — to identify your account and show your name on the leaderboard. You can edit the display name and photo we show at any time from your profile menu.
Leaderboard and scores
If you are signed in and finish a round, your best score (words recalled, attention span, and recall time) is stored so it can appear on the public world leaderboard alongside your chosen display name and photo. Only your best score is kept — not a history of every round. Score and profile data are stored with our infrastructure provider (Supabase) on your behalf.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data. We do not use advertising trackers. We do not build behavioral profiles of you. We do not collect more than what is described above.
Your choices
You can stop sharing data at any time by logging out, after which anonymous play sends us nothing. To request deletion of your account data — your profile and leaderboard entry — email us and we will remove it. You can also clear the theme preference by clearing your browser's local storage.
Children
attentivebrain is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected here.
